  The cause and solution of oil separation from oil in air compressor

  Oil running is closely related to the following factors: oil quality problems, air compressor system faults, improper installation of oil points, defects in oil and gas separation system design, etc. In the actual process, we find that most of the failure complaints are not caused by the quality of the oil. So, in addition to the oil quality problems, what are the reasons for the oil run? In our practice, we conclude that the following conditions will also lead to oil running:

  1, minimum pressure valve failure

  If the minimum pressure valve seal of a leak or minimum pressure valve open early (due to the manufacturer to design the opening pressure is different, usually in the range of 3.5~5.5kg/cm2), then the machine running in the early establishment of oil tank pressure will increase, the gas oil mist concentration low pressure oil flow through the high, fast oil, load, separation effect is reduced, resulting in high fuel consumption.

  Solution: repair the minimum pressure valve and replace if necessary.

  2. The use of unqualified oil

  At present, screw air compressor general have high temperature protection, usually jump machine temperature is 110 to 120 degrees Celsius, and some of the machines in the use of substandard oil consumption phenomenon in different degrees on the exhaust temperature is high (will be based on this, the higher the temperature, the fuel consumption is larger), the reason is high after oil and gas barrel primary separation after some oil droplets and gas phase molecules have the same magnitude, the molecular diameter is less than or equal to 0.01 M, the oil is difficult to capture the separation, lead to high fuel consumption.

  Solution: find the cause of high temperature, solve the problem to reduce the temperature, as far as possible the selection of good quality oil.

  3. The design of oil and gas separation tank is not standard

  For some air compressor manufacturers, when designing oil-gas separation tanks, the design of primary separation system is not reasonable, and the primary separation effect is not ideal, so that the concentration of oil mist before entering the oil section is very high, the oil load is too heavy, and the processing capacity is insufficient, resulting in too high oil consumption.

  Solution: the manufacturer improves the design and improves the effect of the primary separation.

  4. Overrefueling

  The fuel amount exceeds the normal oil level, and some oil is taken away with the air flow, which leads to excessive consumption of oil.

  Solution: after the shutdown, when the gas pressure in the oil and gas barrel is released to zero, the oil discharge valve is opened and the oil can be discharged to the normal oil level.

  5. Damage of one-way valve for oil recovery

  If the oil return one-way valve damage (by one-way pass into two-way), after stopping the oil tank pressure will be a lot of oil through the oil return pipe to the inside, next time when the machine is running, the oil inside the oil will not be sucked back in time to head, part of the oil with the separation of the air to air the press outside (which is common in the non oil device cut-off valve and the exhaust outlet of the one-way valve head machine).

  Solution: after dismantling, check the one-way valve, such as the sundries will be stuck, clean up the sundries, if the one-way valve has been damaged, the replacement of new products.

  6. Improper installation of oil recovery pipe

  During replacement, cleaning and maintenance of air compressor, the return pipe is not inserted into the bottom of the oil separator (Reference: 1~2mm is better from the bottom arc core of the oil separator), resulting in the separation of the oil can not return to the machine head in time, and the accumulated oil will run out with the compressed air.

  The solution is to shut down the machine, and then return the oil pipe to a reasonable height when the pressure is back to zero. The oil return pipe is located at the bottom of the oil sub 1~2mm, and the return oil pipe of the inclined port can be inserted into the bottom of the oil separator.

  7. The use of high gas volume, overload low pressure (or the amount of oil separation used before the machine is used to match the machine exhaust volume)

  The use of low voltage load refers to the user to use air compressor, air compressor exhaust pressure did not reach the rated working pressure, but some enterprise users can basically meet the requirements of the air, for example: enterprise users increased by gas equipment, gas consumption increases, the air compressor exhaust and gas users unable to achieve the balance, hypothesis air compressor rated pressure of 8kg/cm2, but the actual use of the pressure is only 5kg/cm2 or less, so the air compressor in the long-term load, the rated pressure machine can not reach the value of the resulting fuel consumption increases, the reason is the same in exhaust conditions, oil and gas mixture through the oil when the flow speed, high oil mist concentration so, the oil load, resulting in high fuel consumption.

  Solution: it is recommended to contact the manufacturer and replace an oil product that can match the low pressure.

  8. Block back oil pipeline

  When the oil return line (including one-way valve and return oil filter) on the return pipe has foreign body blockage, the oil that is condensed at the bottom of the oil separation after separation will not return to the machine head. The condensed oil droplet is blown up by the airflow and will be taken away with the separated air. These foreign objects are usually caused by the solid impurities falling off at the time of installation.

  Solution: stop the machine, when the pressure of the oil barrel is released to zero, remove all the pipes of the oil pipe and blow out the blocked foreign body. Paying attention to clean up oil and gas cover installed internal oil, oil also pays attention to the bottom of the core is solid residue.
